We believe water safety education should begin in school, be reinforced at home, and remain a lifelong priority.

We believe drowning prevention must include safe physical environments, including properly installed and maintained fencing around pools and retention ponds.

We believe guardrails, barriers, and other protective measures should be used where appropriate to separate roadways, pedestrians, and children from nearby ponds and other water hazards.

We believe meaningful progress happens through collaboration among families, schools, communities, public safety agencies, and civic leaders.
